About

John Brown

I first became involved with magnets around 1990. My interest was instigated by reading a book on magnets and how the Chinese fishermen, in 1936, used large magnets on either side of their fuel pipes on their boat engines which they maintained made their engines run quieter and go further. The book belonged to my late Uncle who had a Doctorate in Engineering and who worked for Rolls Royce, Aero Engines Department. When I questioned him concerning the Chinese and what they had done, he replied that the Chinese were no fools and that magnets were a bit of a phenomenon, and as far as my uncle was aware, the spitfire's 'Merlin' engine had magnets fitted on the fuel line for the same reason.

First Tests

This information sparked my curiosity and prompted me to start on a long voyage of discovery. Starting with trials on my own vehicle, which at the time was a Nissan Patrol 4.2ltr Diesel 4 x 4, non-turbo, which gave approx. 520km per tank of fuel. After numerous trials using various strengths, with little or no results, I tried a hybrid combination of magnets with one pair on either side of the fuel line, before the fuel pump. This gave improved fuel economy with an increase from 520kms to 700kms per tank. After achieving this result, I then perfected what has been proven to be the optimum configuration and design for this product.
